The EDD has announced that employers in the following counties may request up to a two-month extension of time from the EDD to file their state payroll reports and/or deposit payroll taxes without penalty or interest:
- Tuolumne County (July 2026 Dove Fire); and
- Imperial, Los Angeles, Orange, and San Diego counties (October 2026 Tropical Storm Rachel).

A written request for extension must be received within two months from the original delinquent date of the payment or return.
